Gender/Accordance: [Adj.]

SYSTEMATICS: splendidum A.

Current status: valid sp.

Status evaluation (current): unconfirmed by several authors {also seen as a junior synonym of batesii, then diagnosed as a polymorphic species}.

Systematic remarks (with taxonomic history): insufficiently defined initially, subsequently well defined (taxonomic history : a lectotype is designated by Huber, 1980 and precision on type locality is due to Huber, 1998 ; the systematic status is not fixed, either as valid or as a junior synonym of batesii, according to Wildekamp et al., 1986, and Lazara, 2001).
