CONTRIBUTIONS WITH ATTACHED DOCUMENT(S)

Please let us know what you think about this website and its contents.
Do not hesitate to tell us about errors or defective links that you have encountered : a data base requires years of adjustments before it can be considered error free !

if added documents are intended (e.g. photos, publications, spreadsheets, proof of evidence, etc.), please, contact the editor and attach the documents to the mail (you must title your subject as "Killi-Data : contributions with attached documents" otherwise the server will treat it as a corrupted mail and destroy it):

Read the ROLL of contributors to Killi-Data, since 1994, to honor the dedicated supporters.

Yes, I am keen to contribute to Killi-Data online. I understand the principles of Killi-Data online (see REGISTRATION, PRINCIPLES and MISSION in HISTORY) and I fully agree with them.
If appropriate, I shall send a photocopy of the proof that the offered information is correct (by standard mail to initial author's private address: Dr Jean H. Huber, 7 Bd Flandrin, 75116 Paris, France).

Many different sorts of contribution are welcome…

  • Inform of new or additional data that is missing from the database (about aquarium populations, or breeding/maintenance requirements, about life expectancy in aquarium, about egg diameter, about scientific data, about history of introduction and first breeder, about bibliography, etc)
  • Propose an additional color photo (slide or high resolution digital picture) of a male or a female with a precise population name that is missing in the data base or would improve it
  • Point out errors or typos that you have discovered in the website
  • Bring new results of crossing experiments by quoting the male with population first, then the female with population, and finally the best outcome, such as embryonic development (only), pre-maturing, maturing, reproduction, and the last generation obtained (F1, F2, F3, with F0 being the generation of the crossed parents)
  • Report on aquarium experience (e.g., normal life span, maximum recorded life span, number of weeks for first sexation, number of months for first breeding, name of historical first breeder and year of first breeding, result of crossing, etc.)
  • Forward a list of collecting locations of your collecting trips (here, it is best to use an attached Excel file, or similar software, with 6 columns entitled "precise locality description" (e.g., 30 km E. Mekambo, northeastern Gabon), "species name" (e.g., abacinum A.), "geographical coordinates" (in minutes or in hundredths of degree), "name of collector and year of collection", "author", if that locality has already been published, and the "bibliographic reference" that corresponds to the published locality (if you prefer an empty spreadsheet may be forwarded to you upon request that you just need to fill in with your data).
  • Propose advices to succeed a collecting trip in a given country, according to your own experience
  • Submit an application to join a collecting team to a given country, or reversally, an offer of partnership for a future collecting trip to share costs and experience (will be publicized in COOPERATE).
